Rentals

SCN has money specifically allocated for co-sponsoring concerts with other groups on campus.
Equipment rentals:

All requests must be made at least ten (10) days in advance; requests made any later cannot be guaranteed.

Means of transportation of the equipment can either be done by SCN at a small fee, or provided by the requesting group.

A sound tech will be provided to set up, take down, and monitor/mix the sound during the show. This will be reflected in the costs quoted to you. (If you can provide a person of demonstrated equipment confidence for a small PA show, we can discuss waiving your part of the cost which is covering our payment to our technician).

Please include the following information in your e-mail:

Contact Name

Contact E-mail

Phone Number

Name of event

Specific location and address of event

Specific dates and times equipment is needed

Size of PA system needed (here you can either put the expected event size, or choose from the sizes/pay structures below yourself)

Full PA Rental: 4 speakers, 2 or 4 subs, 24 channel board (at our discretion) – $250 for up to 4 hours, +$15/extra hour

Standard PA Rental: 2 speakers, 0-2 subs, 24 channel board (at our discretion) – $150 for up to 4 hours, +$15/extra hour

Small PA Rental: 2 speakers, 8 channel board – $75 for up to 4 hours (monitors +$50), +$12/extra hour

Any extra comments or special equipment needed (speaker stands, number of monitors needed, number of microphone and microphone stands, type of instruments expected, etc.). Please be as specific as possible. *Note: we do not carry wireless microphone systems.*

Upon finalization of a rental The Stanford Concert Network requests a damage deposit of $300, $500, or $1,000 according to system size. This deposit may be addressed in the form of a simple contract agreeing to the exacting of a damage fee or upfront payment (or check) to be reimbursed upon the satisfactory return of the equipment.

All requests made at least one week in advance will receive a reply within 1-3 business days.

Please send all rental forms and inquiries to David Kettler at bluenote@stanford.edu
